The Building & Facilities Executive is to support the Building & Facilities Management Supervisor to effectively deliver and implement quality services in supporting and fulfilling the missions and work of Wesley Methodist Church Kuala Lumpur.

 

This position reports in to the Building & Facilities Management Supervisor.

 

Job Description

 

1.  To implement the scheduled maintenance and/or unscheduled ad hoc maintenance of:

  • Building and Grounds;

  • Motor vehicles and car park;

  • Lifts and generator, air-con equipment, and electrical fittings;

  • Meeting and hostel rooms; and

  • Church Sanctuary and Halls,

  • Other church properties (located elsewhere).

 

2. To implement the timely upkeep of the church’s compounds:

  • Cleaning, pest control, fogging and garbage removal as per schedule;

  • Security of building and grounds;

  • Water supply and function of all plumbing fittings and equipment;

  • Firefighting equipment and emergency control are functioning and effective.

 

3. To liaise with and supervise Contractors/bodies during maintenance services, and to
      confirm acceptance of work quality.

 
4. To work closely with the Building Maintenance Technicians, Caretakers, General Workers,
      Cleaning and Security Personnel.

 
5. To attend the regular meetings with the Property Committee (if required).

 

6. To assist and provide support in executing fire drills and, in all Emergency situations.

 

7. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Church Administrator or Pastor-in-Charge from time to time.

 

 

Requirements and Skills

  • A Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in the same field

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience will be an advantage

  • Must have experience in building repair and maintenance work

  • Knowledge of safety and CPR/AED will be an advantage

  • Able to communicate and supervise Contractors

  • Able to speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia
