1st KL Boys' Brigade Company

It was very encouraging to read Mr. John Cheah’s story in the NST. He is is a founding member of the 1st Kuala Lumpur Boys’ Brigade Company in 1954, and later went on to establish the 1st Melaka Boys’ Brigade Company. Reading his story, we were certainly pleased to note that the seed of good works planted in his heart during his time as a Boy was translated into being, not only a pioneer of another BB Company, but also continued all the way throughout his life as a Rotary Club member.

We were especially heartened to read his account of how:

A deluge of pleasant memories with the B.B. inundated me recently as I was escorted into the opening of the 21st District 3310 Presidents Elect Training Seminar (PETS) and Assembly held in Johor Baru, recently, by the B.B.

I arrived for dinner, accompanied by my wife, Doreen, who was introduced to me by Kuah.

Back in 1966 when I married Doreen, the B.B. was the guard of honour at our wedding.

The Walk is happening this Saturday! Don’t miss out on this chance to spend some refreshing time with your family and friends.We will be meeting at Church @ 6.45am. All helpers will wear the company mulfti and participants will be given a T-shirt for the walk.Kindly be reminded to bring your uniform and you can keep it in the 3rd floor common room. We shall be back by 12pm for BB meeting.
